Thinking about leaving everything and jumping on the next plane ? Dreaming of a round the world tour? That’s exactly what Mari and Rick did. It’s time for some destination lust.
I stumbled upon Mari and Rick website during one of my internet wandering and immediately knew I had to know more about these two lovers, their motivation for leaving everything and going around the world for an entire year. These two not only look absolutely awesome but their philosophy of life is a great source of inspiration. Here they share with us their adventure, some tips on how to organize a one year long travel and their suggestions for unconventional honeymoon destinations. You will soon forget whatever is holding you back and take the big jump.
Can you shortly introduce yourselves?
RICK: I’ve lived overseas a few times, (Saudi Arabia, London, Antarctica) and have traveled quite extensively. As far as work, I’ve pursued film making, cartooning, and graphic design.
MARI: I’m half Finnish, half Indonesian and therefore travel is in my blood. Born and raised in California, I moved to New York to pursue fashion but ended up immersed in photography instead.
